Last October 13th - 15th we took around 55 street people and 20 children for a three day camp about three hours drive away from Cubao. We left at 6am on the Thu morning and arrived back at 9pm on the Saturday night. The aim of the camp was to give people a really happy time away from all of the problems of their lives here in Cubao - and to have three days of opportunity to teach them from the Bible. The campsite was very green with a playground for the children and a swimming pool. They were given three meals a day and also were able to sleep in a bed and shower each day. On the first morning we gave them all soap, a toothbrush and toothpaste and a New Testament in Tagalog. On the last day we took them to the beach before heading back home to Cubao. Over the three days we did 4 seminars on Sex and relationships, Marriage and bringing up children, Drink and drugs and Money and gambling. The theme for the week was 'Life and death' and our three meetings were about Sin (life or death in the garden of Eden) , The Cross (life or death at the cross) and The day of Judgement (Life or death on the day of judgement) God really blessed the camp and we had a great time. The weather was very sunny the whole time, people really enjoyed themselves and all of the seminars and workshops went well. We praise God for His goodness to us and for such a good three days.
