Who am I? – My name is Matt Gamston and I have been a missionary here in the Philippines since June 2003. I have been sent by Trinity Baptist Church in Gloucester with the help of Grace Baptist Mission. 

What am I doing? – I came here to Metro Manila in order to work with people outside of a church situation. I wanted to be involved in obeying the command of God to take the gospel to people and not just waiting for them to come to us.

I am working here with Cubao Reformed Baptist Church and God has really blessed us with many opportunities to reach out to people around us.

 Ministries – The main work that I am involved in is with the street people around our area. Cubao has really changed over the last couple of years and in some areas is now very commercial and very rich. Yet there are still many poor people in the area and hundreds are still sleeping on the streets.

We are involved in two main ways of helping the street people. Firstly we run a drop in centre on a Thursday night where we have about 100 street people each week.

Secondly we are running a livelihood project in order to help some of the street people to earn money to help themselves. They are currently making craft which we are selling abroad and we will soon be starting a project to make things we can sell here in the Philippines.

 Website – I know that there are many people abroad who are praying for us and the work we are doing here. I am hoping to use this website to post various pictures of the work going on so that you can see what you are praying for!

We really do appreciate all the support and prayers of Christians round the world and ask you to carry on praying that God will save many precious souls as we try to reach them with the good news of Jesus.
